A Curriculum customized to Your Dog’s Level of Obedience and with Your Goals in mind, scheduled around Your Availability.
One-on-One Training is for anyone who is eager to learn about dog training and would like to be actively involved in the process. It’s suitable for dogs of any age and can accomplish any level of obedience. Lacking manners and many more specific issues can be addressed as well. Private Dog Training Sessions can also tackle the less severe behavioral problems you may be encountering with your dog.
Dogs that are “even keeled” and are just looking to learn the bare basics, can definitely benefit from group obedience classes. However, One-on-One Training is, of course, much more detailed and adaptable. In group classes the trainer’s focus is on all students and the topics covered are pre-set. While class content in One-on-One Sessions is entirely based on your specific progress and the goals you are looking to reach. Private Lessons allow for the Trainer to fully focus on you and your dog’s individual learning curves. Furthermore, they offer a flexible curriculum and schedule.
Address Obedience, Manners and Behavioral Issues
Aside from teaching your pup the on- & off-leash obedience basics every dog should have, we will also address that “mind of their own syndrome”. Let me help you dissolve the most common unwanted behaviors, which many dog parents struggle with, such as
- jumping on people and furniture
- leash-pulling
- excessive barking
- chewing and other destructive habits
Anxiety born behaviors, different forms of aggression, lack of socialization and housebreaking are typically more efficiently addressed in Dog Training Camps, sometimes it may even be a requirement. We will talk in detail during our Consult and go over the options available to you in your specific situation.
Learn to Train Your Dog at Your own Pace.
Working one-on-one with a Trainer versus sending your dog to Camp, does require a bit of time and dedication. But if you are determined, this can be a very rewarding way of training. Working with your dog helps create a bond between you and your canine companion. As a result, you know that your well-behaved dog is the product of your own hard work.
I tailor my One-on-One Training specifically to you and your dog. Not just the curriculum, but also when it comes to our appointments. We jointly plan your Sessions as we go, in accordance with the demands of your calendar and the needs of your dog.
One-on-One Training gives you a lot of control over how fast You and Your Dog are able to move along.
One-on-One Training typically involves
- about an hour of your time training with me each week
- two shorter “homework” sessions that you will perform on your own (15-20 minutes each, daily).
You will see measurable results very quickly, if you are able to put in the time and are consistent with the expectations you have of your pup.
At some point we will take our lessons to different locations. Being able to train in places that offer higher stimuli as you & your dog progress, enables us to bulletproof learned behaviors in a real-life environment.
